The Genesis M-BOX is a matte-box dedicated for DSLR cameras and camcorders that can be mounted on a standard 15mm rails. The M-BOX is perfectly integrated with the Genesis Cine VSS rig and Genesis Uni Baseplate system.

The purpose of the M-BOX is to block the access of side-light that comes directly into the lens, which can cause flares, ghosting, and can reduce image contrast. The flags on the M-BOX can be easily adjusted to suit lighting conditions, and the lens’ angle of view (they can also be removed if necessary). The M-BOX is equipped with a 4×4” filter holder.

The frame and flags are made out of aluminum. The box itself is high-quality plastic. As a result, the Genesis M-BOX is both lightweight and mobile, while maintaining high durability.
